The Open Society Foundation and Maastricht University invite
applications for the above scholarships in the field of European
Studies. Applicants will be expected to have received their first
university degree, be both nationals of and resident in Georgia, Moldova
or the Ukraine and not have already received or be currently receiving
financial benefit for academic studies.
Applicants should have outstanding relevant academic qualifications
and good English. Each scholarship includes max. 18 months and covers
the tuition fees at Maastricht University, a stipend to cover living
costs (for one person only) during the studies and the internship, and
return air travel from the scholar's home country. On completion of the
scholarship, scholars are expected to return to their home country to
resume their studies or work there. Further information and
application forms are available from the Educational Advising Center,
and completed applications should be returned there by the program
deadline. Applicants for the above-mentioned scholarship should
complete the application form and return TWO COPIES of it to the
Educational Advising Center, along with the required supporting
